Q. What is Rail Tour Packages?
 
A. Rail Tour Packages (RTP) are unique feature of IRCTC designed Tour packages which include confirm rail ticket, road transport with pick up & drop from railway station, Hotel stay and Meals. (*As mention in the tour details).
 
 
 
Q. How do I avail the LTC (Leave Travel Concession) benefit?
 
A. A certificate will be issued by the IRCTC Ltd. that the journey has actually been performed by the government servant and his family members for whom he is claiming the Leave travel Concession. IRCTC Ltd. will indicate separately the rail fare & bus component in the certificate. Please contact the respective offices in the list given below for the issuance of LTC certificate or write to tourticket@irctc.co.in after completion of the journey.

Q. How can I use the Rail Tour Packages through internet reservation facility to plan my journey?
 
A. Get yourself registered online by submitting the Registration Form available on the web site with your personal details. Further details are available at the terms and conditions page. You have to login and click on the "Rail Tour Package" link on the navigation menu. The page asks for the “Please Select The Theme Category/Please Select The Originating City:, after that please select your package, click on the book ticket option than you have to select date of Journey, Class and No. of Passenger Finally click on “book ticket” , fill the passenger Details.

B. If you are not registered with us than you can use your guest login option through which you can make your booking through you email id and mobile No.

Select your payment option and book your package.
 
 
 
Q.How do I check the Tour Itinerary and Package Includes?
 
A. You have to select Tour Originating, Destination city with package Category, after that you can click on the read more option and check the itinerary details. For the booking you have to select starting date, class and No. of passenger to be book on Plan My Tour page. On clicking the “Itinerary” button the route, inclusion & exclusion with fare details of the package is displayed.
 
 
 
Q. How can I check the cost of packages for my journey?
 
A. You have to select Tour Originating, Destination city with package Category, after that you can click on the read more option and check the itinerary details with fare table. For the booking you have to select starting date, class and No. of passenger to be book on Plan My Tour page. Here we have also tariff and availability option with itinerary details.
 
 
 
Q. What is the Specialty of Rail Tour Packages?
 
A. The Specialty of Rail Tour Packages is that when you book a tour, you are also provided confirm Railway booking for the mention class of travel in the tour packages with Confirm hotel booking.
 
 
 
Q. What are the Places covered?
 
A. The Rail Tour Packages covers the places for sightseeing as mentioned in the tour itinerary details.
 
 
 
Q. How many days its running?
 
A. The number of days for each tour is different depending on the tour itinerary mentioned in the tour details.
 
 
 
Q. What are months of operation of Rail Tour Packages?
 
A. The date of operation of different rail tour packages are different depending on the seasonality of the operation of the tours. Go to Tour Starting Dates and select the date of your choice from the drop down list of dates available for tour booking.
 
 
 
Q. What are the various services available in Rail Tour Package?
 
  1. Confirmed train journey in the mention class of travel.
  2. Food is provided onboard train as well as at the hotel as per the meal plan mentioned in the tour packages detail.
  3. Hotel Stay In AC Room OR Non AC Room on sharing basis as mention in the tour packages detail.
  4. Pick up and drop from the destination railway station and sightseeing as mentioned in the tour itinerary by deluxe bus.
  5. Entrance Fees and Escort charges (As per the Itinerary).
  6. Road Transportation (AC or Non as per the itinerary.

Q. Whether Booking for partial journey is allowed?
 
A. No.
 
 
 
Q. How Hotel Rooms have been allotted?
 
A. Hotel rooms will be allotted as per the tour cost paid by the customer and at the discretion of the tour Manager/Hotel Manager as per the occupancy chosen by the passenger.
 
 
 
Q. Is cancellation possible on Internet? How will I get my booking cancelled that I have booked at this site?
 
A. Yes is possible. Customers can log on to www.railtourismindia.com, and go to Booked Tickets link and select the ticket to be fully or partly cancelled and can initiate the cancellation by selecting the passengers to be cancelled. Cancellation would be confirmed online and the refund would be credited back to the account used for booking as for normal Internet tickets. If there is any partial cancellation of package please ensure that the modified ticket (Voucher) is printed separately.
The refund amount due to you after cancellation will be credited back to the same account which you had used for booking the ticket.

Cancellation Procedure: (Register User)
  1. Login in our website www.railtourismidia.com. With user id and password.
  2. Click on cancel/Reprint ticket.
  3. Reenter your password.
  4. It will show all your bookings.
  5. Cancel the one you want.

Cancellation Procedure: (Guest User)
  1. Login in our website www.railtourismidia.com. With Email id and password.
  2. Click on cancel/Reprint ticket.
  3. Email Id (Entered While Booking.)*, Contact No (Entered While Booking.)*, Journey Date*.
  4. It will show all your bookings.
  5. Cancel the one you want.
 
 
 
Q. Whether Modification is allowed?
 
In case the user wishes to modify the booking, he may opt to change of name, age, sex of the passenger. Note : no refund is permissible in lieu of modification of the booking.
 
 
 
Q. How to postpone/prepone journey?
 
A. This can be done on line by cancelling the original ticket and booking a fresh ticket
 
 
 
Q. Can I book break -journey ticket?
 
A. This facility is not available.
 
 
 
Q. Is it safe to give the credit card number at this site?
 
A. This is a VeriSign certified site (Click on the VeriSign logo to see the certificate). All the monetary transactions made on this site are secure. The credit card details are received on the site and transmitted to the Payment Gateways through secure SSL mode under 128-bit browser independent encryption. This site does not store or record the credit card details. All the transactions are handled directly by Payment Gateways only.
 
 
 
Q. What are the various cancellation charges ?
 
Calculation of cancellation time would be based on the time of departure of respective package.

A.         Cancellation rules for Land (Holiday) and Rail Tour Packages as under:

1. Up to 15 days (excluding departure date) Rs. 100/- per passenger
2. Up to 8-14 days (excluding departure date) 25% of the package cost
3. Up to 4-7 days (excluding departure date) 50% of the package cost
4. Less than 4 days 100% of the package cost

         Cancellation rules for Local Darshan Packages will be as under:

Q. How much extra should I pay for my tour Package?
 
A. All the charges are mentioned in our tour Itinerary.
 
 
 
Q. How secure is my Password?
 
A. The Password entered by you is transmitted in one way encrypted form to our database and stored as such. The Password will not be known even to IRCTC. Thus you are solely responsible for the safe custody of your password.
 
 
 
Q. What are the different types of concessions available for Passengers?
 
A. At present this site is not offerings any type Concession.
 
 
 
Q. While booking, the amount was debited but ticket not booked. What should I do?
 
A. If for some reason, you could not see the ticket confirmation page, please check your "Booked Tickets" list, wherein the details of all the transactions with their status would be available. On an unsuccessful transaction, the amount debited would be credited back to you in full without levying any charges. You may retry the transaction for booking your package. If you face this problem very often please let us know immediately.
 
 
 
Q. During cancellation if I am facing problem then what should I do?

Q. Is the voucher my ticket for rail travel also ?
 
A. No the voucher is not a confirm ticket for rail travel. The respective Zone will contact you for your travel on railways before two days of your journey . You can also contact the marketing coordinator whose number is given in the Voucher for any further clarifications regarding the package.
